More and more of what appears to be public space in our towns and cities is now owned and managed by private companies. In London, the rules to which we must conform in many of our once public squares, parks, shopping centres and business districts are now set by UK property developers, foreign sovereign wealth funds and other offshore entities. Even City Hall, the seat of the city's elected government, is owned by the Kuwaiti government.
