100,000 Cubans demonstrate in Havana for the return of Elian Gonzalez from the USA. The 6 year-old boy survived a shipwreck in which his mother and stepfather drowned and, according to the Cuban government, was used as a "political football" by right-wing Cuban groups based in Miami.
