An employee of ISS Mediclean at Homerton Hospital, Hackney, East London. A porter at Homerton Hospital, Hackney, east London, where threatened industrial action by UNISON members employed by multinational ISS Mediclean in catering, portering and cleaning services lead to a deal which took pay from £4.43 to £5.00 an hour (£5.35 from 1 April 2004), improved annual leave and the introduction of an occupational sick pay scheme. The claim was part of the Living Wage campaign carried out in partnership with the East London Citizens Organisation (TELCO).
